Mod plates CANNOT be removed in Qld. You will have to get another mod plate fitted if you remove the seats

leave the mod plate there, rego it. unbolt seats 'temporarily'

I've a friend with a car yard, he told me he just takes them off, and if they ask just say this was how you got it. Make certain you plug the holes in the floor.
