G'day guys,

Just thought i'd say hi!

Picked up a 91 g16b lwb a couple of years ago for next to nothing as a project, and just starting to get around to a few things now to rig er' out. The old girl has 350+ on the clock, but that never stops er. Always puts a grin on my face when I cruise past mates in their 50k + fourbys. Things ive done so far;

- New head, all new hoses/belts etc (bottom end was apparently done 100k ago), radiator and other bits and pieces.
- General maintenance, oils etc.
- Rear lifted springs (havent gotten around to putting fronts in)
- Roof cage/awning
- Head unit/CB

Interior currently out, half way through putting some sound deadening down, on floor, behind dash and in doors.

Starting to get to the exxy bits and pieces I want to do now -
- Wheels/tyres
- Snorkel
- Bullbar/rear bar etc.
- Fix AC

I did have a few questions;

- Does anyone know a fabricator or a good place to get a simple bullbar made up?
- Wheels and tyres - how big can I go without screwing myself over ( I like being able to do 100 up the freeway)...
- Any particular front seats that fit in easily as a swap? The factory ones arent the most comfy!

Bullbar fabrication, you might want to say where your from..

Tyres. 235/75 r15 (29) are cheap and best for most 4x4.
30's are ok but will rub depending on offsets, and will easily notice a performance loss
31's require guard trimming/bashing and suspension mods to stop rubbing and major performance loss especially on a lwb.

Factory seats have a straight rail which easily bolts to most race seats just have make sure you get a narrow set cause if they are too wide they will hit side pillar.

Yeah, performance is my main concern. Don't want to have to completely thrash the engine.

Cheers for the seat advise. Saw some in Autobarn the other day on special which was tempting! Might go measure them up!

I bought my z00k (91 sj70 soft top) with baleno seats in and they're pretty comfy and look pretty stock. I don't know how much modding is required but I have heard its pretty easy.

To put bigger tyres on you need reduction gears, and it'll go so much better than you can imagine

Just realised you're talking about a Vitara lol, anyway same applies

Not really, considering 4.1's are much too low for most vitara drivers and they don't correct high range.
