So I finally found a good 1997 16v with aw4 auto for my LWB.

The TT website says the Sierra tc can stay in the stock location? Wouldn't that super short intermediate shaft be working at crazy angles?
I was going to raise the tc 40mm from what I've read here.

Also, I'm looking for recommendations on which motor mounts might be favoured?

With some shimming of the transfer (if required) the angle is fine.
I can’t comment on motor mounts- I’m using tracker mounts in mine.

Okay, it seems I misunderstood that the tc needs to be raised. Good to hear.
So people are raising the tc 40mm to get a flatter belly?

I’m not the best to judge as my gearbox and engine aren’t in factory positions relative to a 1.3 car. I believe there is no need to lift the transfer, but as you point out, there are other desirable reasons to raise the transfer, and this *may* ease jackshaft uni angles.

As Steve said don't exactly need to lift it all, but can help. Cut stock box mount off and lift entire unit right up and put body lift in, although still need to cut trans tunnel.
