Lately my jimny has been starting abit slower than usual i suspect its the starter motor but i hope it just a battety ,wheres the best place to get a 2006 suzuki jimny vvt motor starter motor from and how much would i be looking at, i looked on ebay but theres some for 80bux and some for 300bux? But none specify that it will fit a 2006 model

If you think it might be the battery you could take it to a battery place and ask them to test it. If the battery is knackered they can tell you and you can get another. Easy!!

If it’s not the battery I’d start looking for earthing and voltage problems. I’m no expert but I don’t know that a starter problem will cause slow cranking, the starter would either work or not work rather than in between. I could be wrong. Either way there’s a heap of stuff to check before you go replacing the starter

Check the battery terminals are clean and making good contact.

If you have a multimeter, check the resistance between the starter and the negative terminal of the battery clamp.

There’s tests to check the voltage getting to the starter, a quick google will guide you through all of this. Try all that first and hope you find the problem, could be a zero cost fix

Yeh definitely will check the battery first would rather replace that then the starter
