Spotlights Plus Fanbelt??

Ok I just connected up my spotties and took the car for a test drive..
When I am just cruising along the road they run fine.
But when I am on a track at low revs and then I feed it to the engine. The fan belt starts to slip.. I don't understand why?
It is a bit loose and I am going to tighten it. But it only seems to slip when I turn the engine on cold (Fine after about 10 seconds and only slips when revving) But now it slips whenever I have the spoties on?

extra load placed on the alternator is causing the belt to slip when the spotties are on

So... Can that be fixed? Or just tighten the belt?

you can also buy a product called Belt Grip. We sell stuff at work by crc, alot of people use it so it can't be too bad

Replace it and tighten properly

Belt Grip x 2. I am running a Falcon 110 amp alternator in a 92 vit. During heavy winching I get belt squeal. The CRC belt grip certainly helps but you have to keep applying it from time to time.
