Black and white wire on the ballast resistor goes to coil positive, dont use the ballast but do use a 1.3 coil
brown wire from teh dizzy also to coil positive, the other from the dizzy (maybe yellow) to coil negative
Alt is a pain in the ass to explain but
Fat wire, to teh stud on the alternator like usual Get the 1.3 alt plug and plug it in, you have black and white wire and white and red from memory?
black and white on the plug hook to black and white on teh 1 litre loom white and red on plug hook to white and GREEN on the 1 litre loom
Now under the glovebox is the alt regulator, 6 pin plug into a black box, remove the box and chuck it, cut the white and GREEN wire and white and RED wire from teh plug and join them together on the CAR SIDE of the loom
Should all work then

hi guys
i found this topic after a search and thought it was close to what i am after. i have wired it up as royce explained but it still doesn't work. (my sierra is a 1.3L NT LWB with the standard 1.3L engine). i brought a 1.3L LWB sierra but it was in bits i have just got the 1.3L motor in and plugged up but i don't have any spark coming from the coil to the dizzy. i have tried a spare coil, checked for loose earths. not sure where to go from here.
another thing is if the cable from the alt to the battery is disconnected it won't turn over is this normal?
any ideas???????
thanks greg
