Fitting wt flanges to a 1 liter transfer case

Hi there just wondering if you can fit WT flanges to a 1litre transfer case?
I have pulled off the NT flanges and they are smaller than my WT flanges.
Is there WT flanges that fit?

the WT flanges will go straight on then.

No they are to big and go straight over the splines and spin.

Well it's not a 1lt case with a 4x4 light switch then. You must have a early 1lt case.

It's a switched 1 litre, got the plug hanging off it. Are diff flanges bigger in the spline size.

Dont quote me on this .. But I am pretty sure they are..

It sounds like you have a early 1 litre case.. I have done what you are doing and had no dramas fittung WT flanges.

So your saying that it has a switch with wires coming out of it down near your shifter
If this is correct then wt flanges will fit

Are all you spline still there, not warn out. etc.

26 spline flanges should go on. check your flanges.

Thats what I was thinking. Its common for people to not remove the circlip from that front housing section before trying to press out the bearing, causing the housing to break. I'd say that its got a later model housing on the early case.

Can we have some pics of the mounts?

The "Early" (w/o switch) and "Late" (w/ switch) cases are completely different and none of the case castings will mix.

However, early Type 2 Sierras (1982) came out with a switch on the front case before the introduction of the later style of case we all now know as the 1.0lt with switch. They were pretty rare, I only ever recall seeing one and I think they were a stopgap measure until production of the later case caught up with production of the Type 2.

These rare cases will have the same case casting as the normal "without switch" case (Type 1), but with a switch:

My case has the switch on the front and wires coming out to the plug.
Still no good the WT flanges are to big in the spline bore size.
Any more suggestions?

It doesn't matter. He obviously has the older case. There are only one size of WT flanges and since they don't fit, it is irrelevant.

OP if you MUST run the case you will have to make hybrid driveshafts with 1L yokes so they can bolt to the transfer flanges.
