It ain't running right. My tintop stocker would do 110kph on the flat without dramas, though headwind or uphill could pull it back to 90-100kph. Most 1.3's should be able to cruise at 100kph without drama.

Mine says 80kms on the speedo when im actually doing around 100ish (on the GPS that is)
Doesnt sound too bad? Unless mines fucked too
EDIT: do the 6.5 gears put the speedo back in sync? Just re read it.

dunno whats wrong with all your fellas cars and speedos,
but mine says 100 and the gps says 106km/h
thats stock 1.3 5 speed with 4.1 gears 1 litre transfer and 31'' muddies.
also it has no trouble sitting on 100, untill get to a hill.

This link may give you some indication of what type of performance you should expect from your Zook. Everyone's performance differs as everyone has different set ups (engines, gearing, tyres etc)
http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... h&start=30
Your zook sounds like its motors a bit tired and may be ready for a rebuild.

i have 235/75's and fully loaded i get 110km, but i usually sit on 105 in fourth gear. fith is useless ((i still have stock gears and stock motor). strangely enough unloaded i still only get 120km if there is no wind.
i have played with different timing and different fuels.

you have a heap more high range reduction then a stock wt sierra. 12% just in the transfer.

31's 1.3 carb 5 speed 1.3 stock transfer and 3.7 diffs.
still sat in 5th doing 100 (gps) all the way from brissy to darwin fully loaded.

Yea I'm in the same boat, stock 1.3, 235's and coming up to 270 on the clock.
If there is no wind on the flat I can manage about 90, 80 with a headwind. On my last trip north some hills took me back to 3rd.
I used to get 400klms per tank and now its 300-330, how much of that would be due to the wrong speedo reading?

The best thing I ever did to mine was rebuild the carby and stick bigger jets in, especially the secondary throat. I had 31's with just a 1L transfer and it would accelerate easily up from 100kph

bigger tires will give an incorrect speedo reading, also will give a wrong odometer reading, best bet is to use a gps and work out the error so you can calculate the difference
i.e 400km on my odometer, i have actually done 440km
