hi all, i have a 92 sierra standard 1.3l, i was driving down the road in first gear, when it just cut out on me, i went to re start it and it wouldnt start, all it did when i turn the key is the starter motor makes one loud tick noise and then that is it nothing else. i have rocked it back and forward in gear and beaten the shit outta the starter motor, but it didnt do anything. any ideas off what could be the problem? thankyou.

its happened to me before, it was the earth from the battery to the block. put your negative clamp on jumper leads on the negative terminal on the battery and the other end on the block and see if she starts, thats how you know if its your earth or not.
