Just ordered some koyo front wheel bearings off eBay for my 91 Sierra. Just wondering if the inner and outer bearings ate the same? As I have 4 bearings that look identical?

Still yet to pull the old bearings out.

Another quick question what is the size of the nut that you torque up. Need to buy one for my torque wrench!

51mm IIRC. But I use a 55mm hilux one successfully, so it's not overly important.

My older brother is trying to argue that the correct way is doing em up tight then backing it off, sure it might work but it's guess work like this that sees bearings fail. The proper way is torqued up?

your brother is right, torque it up (while turning hub), undo, then torque up to a lower setting (again while turning hub), then torque up lock nut.
I don't know the torque specs, you'd have to check the fsm.

The idea is that it seats the bearings.

If I remember right.
Torque to 90lb. Loosen. Torque to 10-15lb? Put the lock washer on. Torque lock nut to 90lb. Fold tabs on washer.

And only fold ONE tab for each nut.
