I know another gearing question, but I want to get 120kph out of the jimny with roughly 3-3.5k rpm at the moment I am 4150rpm for 100kph I need some hwy tyres and want to know if 32s with help with my revs if not 33s maby, I'm light on the foot too so the added stress shouldn't be a problem and will only use on the road, and yes I don't mind changing gears on hills as my work truck is a dihatsu delta...

When you quote speeds is that what the speedo says?
You mention 24% reduction in the title, is that part of the equation?
The 1.3 will never push 32s to 120 while only doing 3500rpm.
With your 31s your speedo would be out by roughly 15%, therefore when it reads 100 you are actually doing 115.

Yeah my speedo is out by just over 10kph, so when I'm doing 90 I'm somewhere around the 100-105 I just want to lower the revs a little bit and was thinking that extra bit of tyre might drop it enough

No, the bigger the tyre the harder the motor will need to work to move them.

Why not try 40s and see If you can idle at 100...

Even if you did get it to rev at 3500 at 120, it'd take you the whole pacific highway to get to 120 cause the gearing would be so high! Jimnys rev dude, its just how they are :) me and 31zook will be driving to Coffs doing around 4150-4500rpm the whole 360kms... It's part of the fun :)
