Not sure if my motor is on its last legs, but it blows smoke on start up and I think is loosing power gradually. Is it likely that the O2 sensor is gunked up of needs replacing? Its also starting (all of a sudden) using 18L/100kms. Which sucks. If anyone can shed some light I'd love to get this sorted. Wilso

Plus I don't have a scanner I don't know Wilso, bung your head under the dashboard on both sides? In your engine bay adventures have you seen the little white diagnostic plug? Has 6 ports stacked 3 on 3, but not all are populated.

18L/100km sais to me your engine is running uber rich which is most likely a sensor issue which is causing the ecu to go into limp mode if it has one, or just causing the ecu to give the wrong fuel or ignition advance leading to your lack of power. To find the dead sensor its either trial and error or find the code. some info in here about finding the codes/OBD port if its refering to the same motor as yours. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38996
