Does anyone have a pic where the rib on the soft top clips into the top of the windscreen?

Should be a plastic strip that screws onto the top of the windscreen then the rib folds over it and into the clip/strip?

Will take a pic when I get home of someone hasn't already

Dismantled one.

This strip goes on the top of the windscreen frame. The soft top curls over the top and fits into the C channel on the strip

Roughly where it sits on top of the windscreen frame

Secures right along the top with screws

Fits on the front (leading edge) top facing forward

You can buy them new from Suzistore, not too dear from memory. Being plastic and given the age of the poor old girls and where they sit, being brittle is sometimes a problem with 2nd hand ones.

Good tip - loosen off the screws on the channel a bit, fit the soft top strip inside (soft top draping over the bonnet), then tighten the screws, flip the top over and fit as normal. You'll get a nice even fitment and a good clamp down on the top. Then, check the front corners to make sure the top is as centered as possible. Add a glob of sikaflex / silicone to the exposed corners to stop water ingress at speed whilst raining. (ie: 80+km/hr in the rain water gets forced into the corners and inside). There should also be rubber corner bits on the window frame to help in avoiding this (not pictured above).
