I already have a 5x4 trailer that we take away on trips but we never fill it up even with me the misses and two ten year olds there still is space left over so just to save towing around dead wait i want to build something a bit smaller and lighter but still strong enuf to take off road
So im looking for some ideas and or pics of what ya tow behind ya zook

Cheers Joe

If I don't have enough room in the Zuke, I just tow some more Zuke. (these pics show it before final paint)

Even though I used stock springs, it is set up "spring over" and has 7.00-16 tyres (30" dia) so it sits a little high, but I never have any worries that it's going to hang up and it tracks perfectly. If the Zuke towing it makes it through so will the trailer.

Ive got a 5x4ish box trailer with a drifter style kitchen in the back that I built, its a bit heavy and takes up some room but its good with a big group or long stay cause your not stuffing around with plastic tubs and crappy tables

rest of it jsut gets filled up with random stuff, not that its moved in 2 years :)

That looks good, you could have a water tank under and fill it through the fuel filler, a LWB one would be even better

Here's mine. It is specifically designed for beach camping and to be dragged behind a stock engined Jimny.

I started by sacrificing my 1/2 Sierra trailer which had been my first trailer build. It was too heavy considering the space provided. The axle and draw bar were cannablised from the old trailer, the rest was sold on ebay.

-The axle matched to Jimny axle width for easy towing in sand.
-Steel frame with Aluminium sheets and checkerplate (All hand folded and cut)
-Tyres 215/75R15 BFG MTs
-Canvas Camper top was bought ready to bolt on and the trailer frame was specifically built to match
-1500kg axle

The sacrificed 1/2 Sierra trailer

Body and chassis separated

The frame, chassis and floor done.

Floor is all checkerplate folded around chassis to add compartments to stop the load shifting
