just wondering if anyone runs 10' wide rims on their zook and what their thoughts are?

I have them for my LWB build, but not on or even seen them, they are on delivery.

I recon with 35s they wil be the ducks guts.

yea i want to make the zook a bit wider and with the extra wheel width it should reduce the height of the tyre a bit making it scrub less. i guess i just gotta be careful of wheel bearings

Im ok with wheel bearings, when I do my diff ratios, will be new everything, and if they chew out quick, Ill think about alternative diffs, but Ill cross that bridge when I come to it.

What offset are your wheels?

Not sure, got them on ebay, sed huge offset, an the picks showed something like 70mm.

Ill go either 33s or 35s, and also get straun internal beadlocks for when airing right down, 5psi or further.

How long ago did you buy them? I think i remember seeing that auction up on ebay..

How wide are your tyres? the 10inch rim may be better suited to them.

and why the heck are you worried about bearings? surely you know someone with the sweet hook ups!

my tyres are stamped 33x10.5 but dont measure that. about 34.7x11.5. i want them fully flipped and backspaced. yea true about the bearings. other option range rover diffs lol

i ran 10" rims on flipped wheels, pulled my steering around everywhere, and pushed into my gaurds pretty bad on full lock, tho you have 6" mor lift then me....

How far were they Offset? All the way or just more then standard? Got any pics of the rims? U still got them?

i had/have 10" wheels with standard offset. they rubbed the shit outta everything. the back might be fine but you will need wheel spaces for the front if you want to turn anywhere. they mauled my brake hoses.

However i was running 33"x14" boggers so rubbing was always going to happen.

hot tip: id be buying spare axles/cv's if i ran these again.

a wider wheel/tyre will not make your car lower.

Presumably he wants to stretch his existing tyres outwards to fit a 10 inch rim and in the process flatten out the tread of the tyre so it doesnt balloon out as much in the middle. Not sure how much it will help but.

I run 32x11.5R15's on 15x10's and have only had a bead go once. This was due to not having a valve cap on, crap getting in the valve and letting all the air out. Other then that, never had an issue aired down, normally run around 10psi in the front and 5-6psi in the rear.

flipped all the way, and on 33X14.5 boggers. nope slod em to a jeep owner as we have the same stud pattern as the old willys jeeps.

ummmm....front wheels turn from side to side.......they will scrub sounding like a 2-stroke sex toy.

I was wanting the 10' rim to flatten the tyre and widen it reducing the tyre diameter giving increased width and guard clearance

put longer bumpstops in to stop the scrub.
and i think if you put a 10 inch wide tyre on a 10 inch rim you will start popping the beads when aired right down, but only a guess
