Won't bore you with the full back story - i bought the wrong bar and need to find out what it's off.

In the last photo the measurements across the mounting brackets are 950mm between the outer points and 600mm between the lower, vertical points.

Any ideas? I'm leaning toward either 2.0 v6 wide-track vit or a later model grand vitara.

Hiya... just wondering... couldnt you take off those steel brackets, and fab up some new ones to fit your Vit ?
Or even turn them around, so they become narrower in the middle ?
Just a suggestion... :wink:

Yeah i thought of doing that but they seem to be completely different. couldnt see how you could make one fit without making up some new mounting brackets and i dont have the time/resources/skill/equipment to do it. I'm sure someone else will have a better use for it anyway as i'm looking to do some other mods first. (before anyone points it out, i bought it on behalf of my brother when he had the car but he never tried fitting it. i'd prefer a steel bar anyway)

Just measured my 2.0Lt V6 Vit and it is about 890mm from the inside to inside of the brackets, but they could be a little different to those ones?

ha, how funny i just bought a bar like that for my swb, for a lwb, and i've just designed some brackets to make it fit...

Hi Mate,

This thread is 2 years old...

But can you get to Brisbane? Do you have the original LWB mounting brackets? I have a SWB ARB bar to SWAP for a LWB ARB bar with a little cash to giveaway as well.
