What is that terrible noise that comes from the steering when you tip a zook onto the two front wheels? I know its probably not good but how worried should I be about it.

right sorry, its a 91 sierra. its a creaking noise when you put a lot of weight on one wheel down an incline. it sounds like its coming from the hub. Ive heard it from every 4x4 Ive been driving with.

you've heard it from every 4x4 youve been driving with? as in theyve heard it coming from your car, or you've heard it coming from their cars?
I am inclined to say might just be the suspension moving around - when you go down an incline most of the cars weight shifts to the lowest wheel in contact with the ground - which puts a fair load on that wheels suspension. That sounds like a "creak" that comes from most 4bys...

sounds a lot like your tyres catching on something.
but on 29 you wouldnt think so.
grease up all your shackles and check everything is tight and see

Stock bumper?
Mine did the same on 29s with no body lift, when the diff is up in the bumpstop the tyre rubs on the bumper. You should be able to see the damage on the tyre...
