Hi All,
Long time reader, first time poster.
I'm in the process of buying a Manual LWB Vitara, have just had a look at it tonight and will be going back in the morning to put a deposit on it.
I just have a question about the gearbox. A friend of mine has been into zooks for ages and reckons this is no problem but....
Whilst driving the car around i notice the gearbox is quite noisy in 2nd and 3rd gears, 1st, 4th and 5th are all fine. Also the synchro on 2nd is quite worn and the gear selector moves around quite a bit.
Are these expensive to repair/replace?
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that guys, that's what i was thinking but needed to hear someone else say it i suppose....
Also i've got the change to get some 30 x 9.5 mud terrains cheap, set of 4 about 1/2 tread.
Would a 2" body lift make these clear?
Plan is to go for a 3" calmini lift but wasn't wanting to do that or anything in-between for the next 6 months or so.

i dont know how that is possible, but then again your rims have almost the same off-set as factory rims. do ur tyres stick out of the guard??
buddies72- it depends on the off-set of the rim that you run, that will decide how much it scrubs and where.
