Not worth the dramas involved in running two completely seperate systems.
Just do the Falcon 110A upgrade.

Seems like a shit load of hastle to make up brackets etc mate. The falcon alt is prettY much a bolt on fix. Have fun with that though :P Would be good to see how you do it if you go ahead with it.

you could fit it out on the exhaust side but youd need a twin pulley crank pulley for the other belt

cant really run 2 alts into 1 battery either so youll need dual batteries and then you cant link em to load share so youll need to wire up stuff off each battery to give the best balance

or you could put a ford alt on, assuming you can draw more than 55 amps at any one time

Just out of interest I was running a clamp ammeter on my charge wire the other day and at fast idle (about 1400rpm) with headlights on high beam, driving lights and cooling fans on I was drawing 45 amps from the alternator (at which point the alternator belt stated to slip)

Most japanese alternators rated at, say, 55 amps like the sierra alternator won't deliver 45 amps at all once hot, let alone at 1400rpm.

100A FTW!

Dual alternators are really only a good idea for a totally separate winching setup as used by the winch challenge guys. Trophy trucks also often run duals but they can switch between the two for redundancy while racing.

Yep - my 100A Falcon alternator topped out a 40A clamp ammeter at around 1200-1400rpm with all my lights, aircon, stereo, fridge etc. Mine was off a single V belt though! :P
