Can anyone recommend a Carby Mechanic in Sunny Coast to Gympie area. Even Brisbane northside.

The Vitara 1.6 carb is playing up so options are to get another carb and pray that its ok, or get the existing one looked at. I'd prefer to stick with the suzkuki standard carby as opposed to getting and Empi / Weber.

Should have done the EFI conversion!

try recarb in kawana. they rebuild carbys and they are supposed to be pretty good.

i have a carby off a g16a if ur after one, its still on the manifold so all the lines are still on it. let me know if your interested.

Jon205, I'm interested. Do you know where its come from, and whether its is good working order.

The carby I've got now works, its just pumping out way too much fuel, and we cant work out why.

Has yours it come off a Vitara that you know was running well?

it was off a vitara i bought to do the engine conversion, i only drove the car once with it on but it seemed fine. this is the car it came off

A carby cant 'pump out fuel' it can only run rich if its got bigger jets in it, and it would have to have massive jets to make it run real bad

$100 for carby and manifold

Yep its running very rich, has occasional run-on, black sooty exhaust, barely 250km for 40l fuel and thats driving like miss daisy, on teh highway. Idles at 1800.

I need to get it either fixed or replaced.
