So I bought a front bar off Tim at ODA. It looks pretty smart but is only held on with 4 X 8 mm set screws. Our club requires minimum 4 X 12 mm HT fixings to a solid part of the frame - pretty tricky with a Zook. I also wanted recovery hooks mounted on top of the bar and the club fixing regs require the same strength engineering

So I went along and spent a day with a club friendly engineer and we fixed some of the shortcomings.

Why not use a step drill to get the 24mm hole? Way easier than swinging off a reduction drill with 24mm drillbit

By reduction I meant a 4 step series of increasing sized drills so the the frame material didn't tear. I just stood around and held things for the engineer who is old school so probably doesn't use step drills.
