I removed my gearbox last week to replace clutch and a few ther things, and I can't seem to line up the gearbox and motor again. Any ideas on what could be holding the gearbox out from the motor? Thanks in advance

Assuming your clutch is lined up spot on, give the input shaft or crank a small turn and give it another shove, shove being the word, dont be gentle

Because Suzuki use stud's on the g/box eng mounting face the clutch HAS to be lined up almost dead set spot on..

If the clutch plate isn't lined up then the box won't go all the way in. Otherwise as Royce suggested. Did you check the clutch plate fitted the input shaft before installing? Did you change the spigot bearing?

i had to undo the passenger side engine mount and move the engine forward to get mine in

i changed the spigot bearing coz it came out in about 6 pieces, it completely destroyed itself, that being the main reason for the job. While i had it apart i replaced the clutch plate which didnt look too bad, the pressure plate which had the fingers ground down from where the stuffed bearing was rubbing away at it, rear main engine seal, and front and rear gearbox seals, as the transfer case had nearly as much water as oil in it....im putting that problem down to the fact that the breather hose has been plugged up with a bolt. Im assuming that when the hot transfer case hit 2 feet of water, it cooled down and because it couldnt breathe through the breather it breathed through the seal. Lots of fun, should be back on the road by next weekend if this week isnt too busy
