The squirters on the old girl are a little sub standard so as a cheap way to kill some time was going to put two more jets with new pumps to get a lot more water onto my windscreen

Can anyone suggest a car that has a good stream of Water and pretty common

most modern cars have four jets but make sure the ones you get can go high enough cause there is no point getting some which are for a car with a really swept back windscreen

on my old pootrol, i fitted washer jets to the wiper arms using cut down metal jets from a EA81 4wd Subaru Wagon, a couple of lengths of washer hose, Y junctions & some cable ties.... it would flood the windscreen & mud had no chance of sticking.

I used VW/Audi pump and jets. Mine came from a SEAT Cordoba (or maybe an Ibiza?) And they are the same pump and jets used in lots of VW/Audi group cars.

The VW pump press fits into the VW washer bottle, but if you pull it out, you'll notice it has a sort or barb on the inlet side that the stock sierra hose pushes onto snugly.

As a result I'm running both pumps - stock sierra into VW. I have excellent washers

Fitting these requires two rectangular holes to be cut in the bonnet - I used a dremel with a small cutoff wheel.

I scored two complete pump, washer and hose sets from a pull it yourself wrecker for free.

There's lots of SEAT's in wreckers as they aren't worth anything second hand, and all the bits are VW-Audi generic so quite high quality and well engineered.
