that stuff is petty cool the only prob with that sort of stuff is you need to use their joiners or corner molds and alot of the time they look shit. we use the ally plastic composite at work on the sides of the caravans its ok not the greatest stuff.

you can actually roll a bend into it (crushing the inner hexes a bit) or do a series of cuts on the inside of the bend, then glue it on the right bend. the only part on the rear tub that needs a bend is the back 2 corners, and theyre not exactly a tight bend to follow... but even then, you'd use some aluminium strap to weld on to the composite panel to finish off a flat sheet anyway wouldnt you?

On soft-top safety. My soft-top jimny got broken (unzipped) into at the beach a couple of times. Nothing too valuable got nicked but still annoying. We got an immobiliser/alarm fitted with micro-wave motion sensor, cost about $400 fitted. Never had any problems after that.

The only issue was if you left it outside on windy days (which in Perth is quite often) the wind would set the alarm off.

I wouldn't know where to get one in Brisvegas but I'm pretty sure most standard alarm places will do them. The one I got is a Cheetah 380ii with the motion sensor added. I think you can just add a motion sensor to any alarm sysytem.

being of the x-box 360 iPhone generation surely you'd have enough computer smarts to work out something as simple as google, hell they even have a big yellow book with lots of businesses called the yellow pages.

check out the Dynamco range of alarms, they are built to the australian standard & are able to be spec'ed up with such things as microwave sensors.
