No need to move the rear diff back - It will create more problems than it solves.
Look at bumpstop spacing a little bit before you cut. 2" on the bumpstops makes a world of difference to clearances, and allows you to run longer shocks to gain more overall wheel travel.
There's no need to add wheel spacers unless you have a particular set of alloy wheels you want to run that don't have the right backspacing. With 33 12.5's, a 3.75" backspaced 8" rim is normally fine. More width is no real advantage, and doesn't help tyre clearance as scrub radius increases - moving the clearance problem to the headlight buckets and the firewall.
As for a U-bolt flip - you are aware the snake racing kit is for a spring over? It would be quite hard to make one for a SPUA car - it's possible, but quite hard - and in any case, you would have to then come up with an alternative mount for the shocks, which currently mount to the spring plates.
I'd just be getting some replacement U bolts. I've played around with high clearance spring plates etc for SPUA cars but it's a lot of work for little return.
Steve.

So, is anyone running 33x10.5r15's?
If so, what backspacing or offset do you have to clear the leaf springs on full lock?
I'd like to have as little offset as possible, but still clear the springs at full lock.

I'm running a little different, but it might help.
I am running 33 12.50's on 3.5 inch backspaced wheels. At absolutely full bind, I get a little bit of rub. If I had big side lugs on my tires I may rub a little more.
I would think with a 10.5 tire it would be close, but not quite as bad.
FWIW
A lot of it has to do with how wide the rim is VS the tire, a skinnier rim for a wider tire will make it bulge over the side of the rim more.

Cool, thanks Skyman. I'll be running 33x10.5 Silverstone Extremes on 8" rims.
I'm not worried about scrubbing anywhere else, the guards will be modified

Good deal ;D The only time I really hear mine rub at all, is when the wife is driving in the parking lot, and she turns the wheel way to sharp.
She always looks at me like "sorry", with a smile on her face. I think she does it on purpose just to get me to look lol.
I don't know why, but my wife and son both use the steering stops as a limiter. They always turn the wheel as far as it will go, until the pump whines. It's like a signal to know when to stop cranking the wheel for them.
Anyways, I don't think I would have ever known unless one of them was driving.
