:helloo: Ok so I have had a problem with my vitara v6 manual
When cruising along in any gear at any speed and not under load the engine surges like it's cutting in and out. It is most noticeable when the engine rpm is between 2700-3300 rpm

Also when the car has sat idle(not running) for 10 minutes give or take and you start it up and drive off it surges really badly like the engine cuts out completely for 2-3 secs then cuts in ( makes it look like I'm a piss poor driver  )

This problem is amplified when in low range and makes it hard to just cruise along
It feels like I'm accelerating and decelerating constantly but it's not me it's the car
Does anyone know what would cause this?
Sorry for the long post

I'll pull the covers of te coil packs and take a look
That would cause a slight misfire swell hey?
I'll report my findings
Cheers

yeah, it will be a missfire as the spark jumps.

you'll need to pull the coil covers off each bank & remove each coil pack & probe, if it's been doing it for a bit you should be able to see the white tracking marks left from the spark jump.

Ok so I pulled the left bank apart and there is alot of white looking corrosion down inside the tubes is this from them tracking?
I'm going to check the right bank tomorrow when I've got the tools to clean it up properly. Is there anything I can spray it all with to stop this or do the coil packs need replacing?
I also managed to crack one of the plugs on the coil pack not badly and it is still connected and not causing a problem but how much are they to buy?

And does anyone know the part number for spark plugs to suit the h20a
