yeah it looks like a way to get around using adjustable/ extended panhard rods with a big lift

When you raise a car fitted with a panhard rod you affect the roll centre.
Raising the panhard mount at the axle (or lowering it at the body) will return the roll centre axis to somewhere close to standard.
As Jester said above.... It also eliminates the need for an extended panhard rod...

If you fit it to the front your panhard and steering arm arent going to be parallel anymore so it will bumpsteer like a bitch
you are also increasing the load on some bits that may not appreciate it anymore, its not like the suspension in them is fragile enough

Its also worth noting that moving the mounting points up or down to reduce the angle on the panhard will reduce bumpsteer, but can actually cause other hadling issues like increased body roll.
As with every modification, there is a negative that comes with the positive

Will not
If the panhard and steering sweep at different arcs it will bumpsteer cause the diff is moving sideways a different amount to teh steering.
On a leafy where the diff moves up and down due to no panhard then less steering angle will reduce it.

Ok, I should have added that under the right conditions it may reduce bump steer
