I have the chance to get a vitara powering steering kit of a vitara as long as I can replace the steering box with another so you can still drive it

My question is can you swap the box with a Sierra steering box?
I know they are different size.
Will only a vitara non powering steering box bolt on?

the sierra box has different bolt pattern, and the angle of the box where it bolts up to is different aswell so it may hit somthink and the steering coloum wont line up. so im going to say no not without some mods

I vote dont bother. No the sierra one wont bolt on. Considering you would still pay $60 for a non power steering box that would fit I dont think its worth it.

If you want a power steering, get the box and pump from a wreckers, not butcher someone elses car.
I paid $120 for mine, I used a cresseda box & vitrara pump. I also got a HP hose made to spec for $80 and a Tarago Drop Pitman Arm for $15. belts and pulles etc. you need to mod the chasiss for the creseda box, all in all the cost was probably around the $250 mark, and I only did it because I was doing a Full RUF at the same time.

For a Vitara box, use a wedge kit AND buy a drop pitman arm to suit for extra $.

my 2c

Yes, but you will still need to buy other stuff to put it in your Sierra.

Ben T Sierra to Vitara Power Steering Kit $250

Low Range Drop Pitman arm ~$150 though you can get away without it if you have minimal lift.
