well, iv been having a problem with my 92 sierra, that when the left indicator or hazards are on, the windscreen wipers run, slowly.

i made a post about this already, (wiper issue)
but that came to no avail.

have checked all the earths, all the plugs are in good condition and nothing seems out of place. all fuses are intact and everything else works fine.

have noticed the small side indicator globe not working, changed it, still nothing.

now here is the weird part. unplugged the loom to test with the multi meter to see if there is power to it, from the small white plug by the jack mount, and the wipers stop running.

plugged it back in, they go again.

have switched the holders from the drivers side, and doesn't change anything, and the passenger one lights up as it should on the drivers side.

so now.. im completely stumped.. only way to indicate left without the wipers going is to unplug the wiper loom under the dash... :S

loom doesn't look like it has been cut or modded under the dash for the wire for that side indicator to get mixed up..

any ideas people?

Just a wild guess. Have you taken the idicator/wiper switch box off the column for a look? Maybe you have some mud in there shorting stuff out...

nope.. that i haven't. i will check that and let yas know.

edit** this only affects the side indicator. the front and rear indicators work fine and are normal brightness.
iv disconnected the side indicator so i can drive it atm, and doesn't affect the wipers at all.

the plug that makes things go strange when plugged in, join a wire to the earth wire on the plug and earth it to the body, if it stops the factory earth for that side (prob up under the dash somewhere, is dodgy
