I need to piss the outriggers on my sierra off, but havent come up with a front bar that im happy with yet.

ive seen birko's bar which was the stock bar that was cut.

i really like that and it'd give me the tyre clearnace i need and it looks pretty tidy.
Just wondering whether it would be leagal in NSW with the tyres exposed the way they are. I get the idea that it would be fine with all the arb bars getting around on the new prados and such with some well exposed tyres.

So would it be all good? cheers.

Alien I doubt those lifting eyes would pass in any other state. WA must be more relaxed with their rules.

Newcastle is pretty relaxed. As long as its not stupid dangerous.

yeh thats been brought up on here before... engineer passed it and so did 2 lots of transport inspectors.

engineer said as long as all deflection was away from the car and not under it then the bar is fine. i mentioned exposed front tyres and bar height meaning any person that meets it is going under regardless and he said "thats not the law though, the law is just that deflections should be away from the vehicle".

ie: the cattle collector bars with the forward swoop at the bottom are illegal because they deflect upward into the car.

they were more concerned about the park/indicators up front - but theyre ADR approved and very bright (on the right angle).
