if you differentiate a quadratic twice there should be only 1 factor...
how hard is it to look up manufacturer's specifications for tread depth and divide what yours have by what they had new...
I dunno, that seems like an unnecessarily complicated way of doing it. Some of those websites are hard to navigate.
