Bennyzarb is right. Even rock up to a meeting and you'll get the general feel of the club. I'm with the Blue Mountains 4wd club. I'm one of about 2 or 3 people out of 150 members with a Suzuki, but I like going out with a diverse range of 4by's cause the zook often shows them up

I've been with them since I owned my Nissans years ago and I've made a lot of friends, so I don't really want to swap clubs. They're a bit light on trips at the moment because everybody wants to go on trips but no one wants to lead them. This should hopefully improve over the next few months
