Building my shorty vitara for next years Tuff Truck are the original engine mounts up for this .Was going to cut them of and fab up some as I have done before but if they are strong enough its one thing less to do any thoughts.

They will be up for it just add some straps mounts to them to tie them down

Depends on how much u actully doing to it. Reduction gears etc. Will cause more strain on them. Depends on your other options of aftermarket as well as they will be stiffer too. Building a custom truck all comes down to trial and error.

Think i will go the tried and tested method of useing suspension bushes for mounts for the engine and gear box.

Use the softest ones you can find. Otherwise the vibration will drive you nuts!
