I've had an 89 Pajero wagon sitting in my paddock for ages now and I wanna get rid of it, everything is in great condition so before I part it out, can I use the diffs on a sierra?

Pajeros are IFS. so you could chuck the rear in only, and de coil it.

Lol mate easy up! Far beyond even thinking about that issue here. Relevant points are what SierraDan stated, its not live axle front, big issue to consider.

Btw zooky08 it may be a problem getting it engineered, but there is a possibility of getting different diffs engineered in QLD. You, like me are running 30" tires with no possibility of getting them engineered. Lame!

Ifs front end, bit of a downer, is it the 4cyl or 6cyl? At a minimum the centers will have 4.625 ratios which is a bonus

Yea Sorry, It could be done, I'm not Doubting it
What I ment is, go have a talk to a engineer before he gets his hopes up that's all.

Pajeros are IFS. Why chuck the rear in only? Plus they have a massive pumpkin, I don't see an advantage.

If you only put the rear in you would have to consider ratio's, Lining the transfer up, coils ect. Not worth it IMO

What?
The front diff on the pajero is short in length and has CV joints hanging off the ends to the wheels. Unless you convert the sierra to IFS with the pajero arms and torsions bars(which are half the length of a sierra.). You cant use it. If you want IFS sell the paj and the sierra and buy a vitara.

Part it out if you have the time, or just get rid of it and move on with your life.
