is it possable that they forgot to add a bit of loom your after as with some of the cars ive worked on they have a few bits to it best to check out a running motor and see where bits go so you know if there is anything missing

Are there any pins in the connector? there is a sprung tab on the pin that must be pushed back to slide the pin out. You could then use pins from another similar connector. A replacement connector would still be the best option, I domn't know what the rest of the wiring is like but its agodd idea to keep the original wire colours to make fault-finding easier.
