hi guys gonna get some spotties for my swb sierra wen my bull bar arrives but not sure on what size id like to get. lightforce 240s i think are a bit big but id still like something a bit bigger than the standard headlights. anybody got some pictures of there own spotlight set ups they could throw up so i could try make a decision?

Hansa XXX , pretty much the same design as the light force spotties, but 20mm in diameter and bang for your buck they are great...i would have them again any day

i got 2 lightforce 240's they look huge but will be cool on my tube bar, gonna get another two(!!!!!) thinking 2 pencils & two HID spreaders, i love these lights they are AWESOME

we tested my nite stalkers vs a mates lightforce spotties last weekend, both the same size and same wattage bulbs in them (i think) and mine were actually brighter, and almost a quarter of the price... having said that, i've run 50amp wire from my battery to each spotlight, i think he has 25amp wire running to both lights, so a lot more voltage drop... but still, if you dont want to spend a fortune, the nite stalkers are $150 at supercheap (got mine on sale for $116 ) and are brilliant.

best thing about light force was there free, and if i ever have a problem they will be fixed for nothing, plus i enjoy having a quality built light on the front

Stuff paying for heaps expensive lights.
I like my super cheap 180mm spotties with ebay HID kits.
Total of about $150 and heaps brighter than those expensive things and less likely to go walk a bout.

i got some of the smaller hid's of these.

got them from tjm and he bloke said he wouldnt use or recommend anything else (has an 80 series with 6 of them) and is considering dropping lightforce from his line, his words "overpriced, under performing well known name"

yea they have a price tag but in my industry that doesn bother me, but i like a light i know will work and withstand the way i drive, deep water trees or wild life, there great,

lightforce definitely look better, but as i said, my $150 supercheap spotties outperformed them. and for me, thats a $200-300 saving i could put towards something else.

Number plate is removed for offroad wheeling. Its a better location than zip tied to the grille like most numpties do Why on earth would a radiator require airflow?

Winches are for people who can't drive, or are too soft to cut their 4by up and Mid mount it

I recon light force Personally i love them, I have 2 240's with 100w hids both pencil beam and 2 170's full spread. Can actually run them both at the same time yet need to upgrade the alternator. (which will happen as soon as i remember to steal the falcon alt i found in my old mans garage!)

Rather than start a new thread i'll just tack onto this one.


I'm looking to get a pair of spotties to mount on a roofrack. Wanting a pair of flood lights, not long distance beams - manly to keep an eye on incoming kangaroos when i'm trundling along camping trails.

#1: what's the law with spotties and roofracks - looking around the last couple of days i've seen a couple of jeeps with top mounted spotties, but everything generally seems mounted on a front bar. Is it illegal to have them up high?

#2: if it is legal, what's the best way of getting power up to the roofrack position up considering I have a hardtop (ie - and don't want to drill panel holes unless I have to).

looks awesome mate,, but u must have alot of confidence in ur cooling system, i cant even see any grill (radiator airflow)

I do have confidence in my cooling system as it's a new car and there is not much of a grill on the jimny to start of with, so really it's made no difference what's so ever
