putting my engine back in where does this wire go. help asap would be great. its on the intake side.

Looks starter trigger wire to me.
Post a pic if where that wire goes into harness.

Looks like a round terminal? If it is then temp sender? Is it front or rear of motor?

It's not the temp sensor already got the right one on there. It's a the middle of the engine really so could be for the front or rear. Could it be a knock sensor? Can't see one on the side of the intake of the block. Only gets power on crank.

Is the terminal round or flat? AFAIK the G16 doesn't run a knock sensor. Have you got the trigger wire on the starter?

dont you think you just answered your own question with this statement
Would almost certainly be srarter motor. Tell us what colour the wire is and we can help more
