You have totally proven all that is known about engines to be false and should perhaps contact Ferrari about a position in their development labs

I experienced this. Igniting on the exhaust stroke, sometimes coughing and turning over a couple of times giving you the idea it's almost going to start. Better to check than ignore it because it wasn't mentioned in a post.
