I've been tempted to try it in my heep, but I don't think it will do any good in a big ol pushrod motor.
avgas is great stuff, but only if the motor is able to use it.Otherwise its just a waste, you mayaswell just run petrol as its easier to get.
and just incase you thinking I'll just swap between the two the tune is different between the two fuels
you will likely find however that you will still get detonation on avgas before straight propane .

I have the choice of straight from the pump (airside pass on my car) or 44 Galon drums Its as easy to get and much much cheaper.
If I do manage to build the buggy (which will be road registered here, and i will drive it to work every day) I will be able to fill up at work or at home
But is all pipe dreams atm.. (Get it lol pipes, buggy... pfft.)

So what's the actual problem che? Run it on 98 or what ever is available and set up your ignition timing to suit ie no detonation....

This is what your after....
here
FWIW pump octane drops quite quickly and to get the best fuel you need it from the newest load delivered. Shell used to give out those servos with the highest turnover and latest deliveries if you explained it was for motorsport use.

I am pretty sure that stuff isn't permitted for use in road going vehicles.
It contains MTBE which is not permitted under the current fuel legislation.

So does no-one know of H202, it is very potent stuff.
Rockets use it, it is very unstable in concentrated forms, meaning it releases an 0 atom, so, in fuel, it will make for high oxygenated fuel, more 02, cleaner burn, more power.
I have read a fair bit on it, but would like to know from one who has used it to find out first hand.
May try it in the 1.3l, if it leans out too much, sweet, excellent reason for a 1.6l upgrade.
Bit of a read up on it.

That is different to what you posted in the post asking if anyone used it.
Hydrogen Peroxide used in rockets is a different process than a reciprocating engine.
It is a very powerful and highly dangerous oxidiser. It is not an "octane booster"
If you want more zing in your fuel look to nitro, but it will use aluminium engine components as fuel if you don't feed it enough.
Nitro you also have to think backwards with mixtures. The more you feed in the leaner it gets.

correct, but nitro is cool. also self feeding, you need to cut the fuel mix not just air intake like on a normal engine

Still asking the same thing, has anyone used it, or know of anyone using it.
Nitro is very expensive in its daily usage, far to expensive, as it is a very slow burning fuel, so most is spat out the exhaust, H202 on the other hand could be added like an octain booster, an it is in essence. But I think it would tend to make the fuel burn faster, so timing would be a big issue.
Oxygenated fuel is a biggy, more 02 means more fuel to pump in, meaning more power.
NOS is only an oxygen enhancer, but it cannot be used constantly.
Oxygenated fuel is all the rage in racing circles, by adding H202 you simply make oxygenated fuel, I would like to try it, but cannot find 35% anywhere.
I recon it would be grouse if it was as easy as say; when your going out for a fang, add H202, in carefully researched quantities, maybe change jets, alter timing, zippo, (say) instant 20% boost in power.

Looks like the shell vpower 100 is gone in Aus.
We still get unethanolised 91ron here at my local bp. Lucky! Unsure why though.
Everywhere else is 10%ethanol so i fill up with 95ron
Yes, Vtec yo Give me a f20c any day.

why do you think this, if you could afford it you could run NOS all day long every day if setup correctly, its all in the air fuel ratios.
and its more of an O2 suppliment than enhancer

If it was that simple it would be a common hot up trick.
The chemistry behind mixing oxygenators into fuels is a bit more involved than just tipping one chemical into another.
I have never heard of anyone mixing peroxide into fuel.
There are far netter chemicals out there for making power but none are a viable long term option.
The reason you can't find better than 35% is that it is highly reactive and in the hands of people that have only have half a clue, highly dangerous. Pour it on a catalyst and you have near instant super heated steam. Mix it with a flammable substance and you run the risk of instant ignition and combustion that will be hard to extinguish as it feeds the fire with oxygen.

Ball, 35% is only food grade, its not till you go over 50% that it becomes a problem as such.
In the states 35% is as common as dogs balls.
NOS could be run all day I spoz, never thought of it like that, only read of it as a huge short term power boost, where as if you only added smaller boost levels then yes it could be a constant, interesting thought.

In the states they allow kick ass guns. Doesn't mean it is a good thing though.
Like I said, if it was a good, cheap or easy way to make more power in an engine it would be common.
It isn't common, so there must be a very good reason for that.

If it is just detonation (pinging) you are trying to control why not try water injection, pretty easy to set up, no terminal damage if you get it wrong as would happen with nitro/nitrous, reduces or eliminates pinging, keeps the combustion chambers and valves clean, engine runs cooler.
We used to run pretty primitive systems using vacuum feed into carbs, or simple systems using widscreen washer pumps feeding through jets fitted inside the aircleaner, power for pump via relay activated when under heavy accelleration. (switch under acc. pedal)
What with the computers and electronics available nowdays there are probably more sophisticated systems around - dunno if they are better or not.

lol true enuf about the guns, but, till someone thought of it, the paper clip never existed, nor did stickies, bubbles in beer etc.
I look, play, fuk up a lot, sometimes do something very worthy.
This may be worthy, worst I can do is cook the lil donk and then be forced to put in a 1.6l efi, yaaaa, no matter what, I win.

I agree back off the timing a bit until you get on your gas.
