Just made a bit of an impulse buy of these SGA roofracks, assuming I could slap them on my sierra, but I've run straight into trouble.
They seem to be too short (whats skinnier than a sierra?) and there seems to be something missing to clip them down to the gutters.
Sorry I'm a bit of a newbie and I'm probably being stupid, but heres a couple of picks. any tips??

Bit hard to see the photos on my phone but it looks like those feet should adjust out to fit. Not sure about securing them down but does look like something is missing

Edit: What were they off? Might not be the right style of fitting for gutter mounts

They were just hanging on the wall in my mechanics' office. He didn't say anything about them not being for my car (which he had just serviced) so I assumed theyd fit on. Not sure what they're off.

Adjust the legs outward, then flip the thin "U" shaped thing on the ends to grab the gutter.

it looks like they were adjusted narrow so they would store better. Imagine how wide they would be for a big vehicle, maybe hard to store in an apartment, or house without a shed.

even extending i'd be surprised if they would be wide enough. i reckon its off a mighty boy or the small hatch of same era.

My initial thought was maybe a fiberglass canopy setup. They certainly don't look like gutter mounts. Maybe you could buy the right feet to fit? How are those feet secured to the rack?

Hey DKM,

If you cant get those racks to fit, get your money back. I have a set of racks that came off my Samurai a long time ago and I have no need of them (they were hiding in the garage). I'm coming to Melbourne in November and will happily bring them with me. All I need is a ride from the airport to town.

Those are mightyboy racks I reckon - those hooks secure to the roof rails.
