Is there any differance in front axle / diff housings between a Sierra trayback 1981 model & Sierra soft top 1986 model both are narrow track,i know 1 is drum brakes & the other is disc but that is all bolt on,were diff ratios the same ?? thank's in advance,Dave.

An 81 ute would be a 1.0 litre I'm guessing, and the 86 Softtop a 1.3, so I believe they will have different ratios. (4.1 for the ute and 3.9 for the softtop).

86 model is a NT 1.3 with 3.9 r&p centers
I don't no much about tray backs but I'm assuming it will be a 1l and te diffs centers are different nd I'm assume diff housing is different

Assumption.... The mother of all fuck ups. :roll:

There is such a thing as an 86 1L NT. I have one. :roll:

Dave you need to specify if the 86 vehicle is 1L or 1.3L. If it is 1L the diff is completely interchangable.
