Hi guys, I've done a search and read up on previous posts, but not quite what a definitive answer yet.
Some of you have alluded to the fact that on a jimny you disengage the hubs when in 4x4, and I THINK but I'm not sure, the front drive shaft disengages too at the transfer case?
If this is all true, then surely the front is the ideal place to put a cheap auto-locker, since it will only be in operation when you are in 4x4. Is this right? No nasty side effects at all when on-road in 2wd.

Replace Auto-Locker with Weldy.
A valid question. Will it still free wheel happily when not in 4HI or 4LO?

Just get a rear auto locker or front air locker. Alot better than having a welded front.
