Google yields me no results, or conflicting results at best.

I wanna know the differences between the g16b dizzy out of a vitara compared to the g16b MPFI coil pack out of a baleno.

Vs power.
Vs torque
Are they single cam or twin cams?

I've recently brought PJ.zooks conversion which is a g16b coil pack mpfi out of a baleno and i'm trying to do some research on it (before it gets here) to find out it's specs and the like.

They are both SOHC, as far as my research went the coilpack engine is slightly better, but the conversion is a bit harder to accomplish.

Also you generally find baleno engines with far less km's on it.

I got a whole baleno with 80,000km for $1040 delivered.

The conversions already been accomplished as it comes with everything. So that part doesn't worry me. When I googled it I found a few pages saying that the baleno came out with a 1.6 DOHC MPFI coil pack motor... But looking at the motor, there's only enough 'head' for one cam.

Yeah, afaik they had a 1.8 dohc in some models but all the G16's are SOHC. I could be wrong about that though but a lot of the baleno information on the net seems to confuse the different models i.e.1.6 and the 1.8 e.t.c.

It's good that you've got the whole conversion done already, hopefully it slots straight in, I know I've got a lot of work ahead of me for mine!

No DOHC G16B's in australia. Infact I have never heard of that variant of G16B before.

The J18a DOHC came out in the GTX balenos.

They will both be 95bhp SOHC motors, the later Balenos were supposed to have 10% more torque gained by a bunch of different mods including a mild tweak to the cam timing, a slight increase in compression and changes to the ignition and EFI.
The multipack 1.6 Baleno EFI uses a 16-bit dual core processor rather than the Vits 8-bit core.
