Hi All

We have a SJ50 NT running a G13BA engine and for some reason sometimes it idles great and then other times it revs its nuts off (varies from about 1200/1300 revs to 2000/2100) not fun to drive when really revving and it isn't doing the fuel numbers any favours either. It appears the auto choke mechanism is broken too.
Does anyone out there have a suggestion or a good carby to solve this problem?

Thanks

Disable auto choke all together. Sounds like it's causing it to rev up.

Check your auto choke water hoses and inlet/outlet for blockages. Sounds like coolant isn't circulating past it all the time.

Mine does the same thing and sometimes if I brake hard it stalls. It looks bad when you pull up at a set of lights and it's on 2000 rpm ya just look like a wanker that wants to race. How do you disconect the auto choke.

i screwed the plate off, take the box on top of your carby off and you'll see the choke plate with to star head screws in it, take them out without dropping them down the barrel and remove plate and your sorted. car will run bit shit on start up tho, til it heats up
