UPDATE: Bought a reconditioned carby and put it on last night. It now idles better than ever and its so much quieter... i dont know why haha. mabye there was a vaccum leak before or something?

but yeah, i have drained all my diff oils, and engine oil and replaced them. still gotta do my transmission, having a bit of trouble with getting that one out. ive tried to use a easy out but its stuck now and i cant even turn it! :p

drained fuel tank, cleaned it out, and replaced fuel filter, and shes running like a dream im so relieved about it. Once i get my transmisson oil changed, ill take her for a spin and hopefully all is well! just wanna thank everyone for your help, and ill post up some pictures tonight!

The throttle body was probably worn - not closing tight and allowing air to leak past it.

Hahaha...yeah.....sorry i didn't get a chance to chat much as i was trying to sell the two GTi's i have (actually sold them and they're going today)

Glad to hear that the carby worked out well (the old man was actually going to swap it over for the one on his zook)

Does you mate still need any of the parts from the Hilux....need to get rid of that thing too?!
