Okay I'm new here and asking a question which will prob get me flamed but I want to get this right so I'm asking you guys.. Got everything ready to go but need to connect the dots. I'll paypal you 50 bucks if you can finish the diagram for me. I did search and study the threads but still couldnt work it out .. mainly cause of the led switch... anyways hope ya's can help... cheers Rob.

with the swicth you don't have to have 3 wires hook up to it one of the plugs is only for the led it does nothing else.

Very simple to do, you just have to keep in mind that the switching for the lights is on the negative side of the circuit.
The led switch just has two pins for switching the power and one for an earth, so the led works when you switch it on

hey, just to jump in on this, ive followed the instructions and got all my spotties working but they dont seem to be getting much power, what can i do to make them brighter and/or get more power to them??

The cables that are thicker in royce's diagram need to be thick enough to comfortably carry the spotlight current.

2.5mm squared cable should be plenty I would have thought... maybe 4mm on the cable from the battery to the relay...

sweet, i can do this, also is there any reasons why i shouldnt be running 3 spotties from the one relay? and is it normal for the high beams to dim when i turn the spotties on?

possibly overkill, but ive used 6mm (~4.5mm squared, or 50amp) for all of mine. but i worked out its less than 0.2V voltage loss.

If the relay is designed to switch that sort of current, then its not a drama, but I'd probably run two.

It's fairly normal, yes, especially at idle.... But if you give it say 2500rpm and the headlights still dim, then your alternator isn't keeping up with the load very well... Remember the electrical system in the zook wasn't designed to run 3 spotties...

just one more thing tho, if i was to upgrade the alternator, what would be the easiest and cheapest to go for?
