I am just about to have a crack at this. I was wondering if anyone else has done this, due to the fact that you have to remove the throttle body and the air intake manifold. My question is, are there any things I should look out for or any easier ways to do this.

Disconnect neg battery & remove alt, then come back & post.....

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm..........????????? thanks for the suggestion. :)
Gave it a go and was able to get one bolt.
the thing is that they face backwards towards the firewall, its under the intake manifold................ so freaking frustrating!!!!!!!
looks like a have a long night ahead of me :(

Have a better look & use an extension on 1/4 drive ratchet, very possible with out taking manifold off....

followed the workshop manual. there is no hope of getting those bolts out without taking it all appart. it really aint that bad of a job. thanks for the help anyway. :)
oh, and it was the thermostat as the new one was fully open before the old one even started to open XD
i am glad to have this fixed now, time to go camping and wheeling !!!!!!!!!

Did you take pics? I'm yet to have to sort one of these although I got close once.

steak_knife has done plenty his way, from memory something to do with "Ninja Hands" :D

It's a ridiculous place to position the thermostat.

Worse in the swift's as there's a fire wall & rack to contend with to...
