Earth cable to starter body.

Thick positive lead to starter solenoid threaded terminal.

Thin wire to small spade connector on solenoid

i have 2 threaded terminals on the starter motor. and a thick wire with ring terminal and a thin wire with ring terminal and also the spade terminal wire

so the earth cable doesnt go on the terminals on the starter motor? do i put it on one of the bolts that holds the starter motor to the gearbox? or is ther another bit on the starter motor body? cant remember after i pulled it all off lol

Earth cable does not go onto one of the terminals on the starter. Should just go on one of the mounting bolts.

The two ring terminals should go on the terminal further away from the main starter body. Only the wire that goes from the solenoid straight into the starter should go on the other one.

The spade terminal just goes on the spade fitting on the solenoid.

For example, the ring terminals should go on the top terminal in this pic.
