G'day.

I have a 1982 LWB sierra ute and I am having some trouble with the transfer mounts.

I need some new transfer mounts I went to repco and have had a bit of a look online but can only find ones that have 3 mounts and they look kinda like an engine mount but my transfer case has 4 and the rubbers are more like spring bushes. Does anyone know the part numbers or where I can get some?

looks like someone has had that mad or purchased something to make it work.

i know the later mounts were a moulded piece with a stud out of the top and bottom for a nut to go on once it went through the transfer arm and the chassis.

but i could be wrong as i am basing it of later stuff, both NT and WT. all 1.3 though.

Yes it is. It's 100% factory 1.0. I have three 1.0 litres in my shed now and they all have the same mounts, exactly as per the photo.

They are 1,736,476,475X better than 1.3 mounts - they cant break, and there's another mount to spread the load over.

I would use Bruce's transfer lift kit or spidertrax HD transfer mounts to replace your flogged rubber- the spidertrax mounts bolt in to a 1.0 (except you need 4 not 3) and they effectively the same as stock 1.0 except made from urethane.

Yep factory mounts for the Type 1 or 2 SJ40 (t/Case without switch)

Part numbers are:

No 20: 29611-80000 (8 req'd)
No 21: 29612-80001 (4 req'd)

I'd also look into using the urethane mounts from the pin end of the front shock. I know ARB sell them as a spare part for their OME015/025 shocks. I'm sure that REPCO or SuperCheap would have somthing similar, too.

I can't really go with an option that is going to change the transfers height because of the rolla gearbox being longer then the suzuki one the midget jackshaft starts playing up.

So if I just take that part number to Repco they'd hook me up? Or even a Suzuki workshop?

They are 100% Suzuki. I had to get them shipped from Japan. They are much better then the 1.3L because the blots goes all the way through the mount.

They are Suzuki Genuine Part numbers, I don't think Repco would recognise them. My Repco comment was related to the urethane shock mounts, which they might have something similar to.

Old Mr Suzuki was dreaming when he set the prices, wanted 100 bucks for 12 bits of rubber, went to ARB and one of the fellas was pretty helpful they are pretty much perfect for it. Only thing is they were a bit tall so I just nicked a bit off each of them hopefully that doesn't ruin them to much but it was only 20 bucks for all four.

OMEB11 is stuck on the bag they were in?

If I have to do it again I might try getting bolts a touch longer and leaving the mount as it is and tighten it up until the mount squishes down. They squished down heaps more then I thought they would. But it is definitely a bit of trial and error.

But the T-case seems much more stable, before the lever wobbled back and forth like crazy but now it only wobbles as much as I can wobble it so all is good!
