Wouldn't a GQ box be a better option then? Stronger too to handle the power of the mighty G16B! 8O

i want to run a hilux transfer because i am putting hilux diff under it and the transfer would line up with the rear diff and has a better low range than a vit transfer and if i run a gear driven hilux transfer i can gear it down more with a kit for marks adapters. there is not that much difference in size i don't think and i am not to fussed about weight or i would have just used WT diffs that i have

The Hilux box is a fair bit longer than the Vit box

Are the Hilux transfer gear or chain driven?

You will have to run 4.88-5.12 in the diffs to get the high range okish. What size tyres?

I liked the thought of where your going with this as i was looking into similar, But i didnt like the weight and the actual size of the box's.

My new build utilises a G16B bolted to a Vitara bellhousing, bolted to an SOS RingR adaptor, bolted to Hilux W56 gearbox, bolted to twin hilux transfers, one of which has reduction gears fitted.
RingR is available from Lowrange.

I will only be running 33-35 tyres. i want to set it up with coil overs and hydro bump stops. so i want to do more hi speed stuff than crawling.

If you are going down that path you might as well bolt in something with enough power to turn that combination otherwise crawling will be your only option. There are bellhousings available for "W" series box to "A" series and "S" series Toyota engines.
